Off the Hook wins PubWest Book Design Award
TouchWood Editions is thrilled to announce that designer Tree Abraham has received a prestigious 2019 PubWest Book Design Award for her original design of Off the Hook: The Essential West Coast Seafood Recipes by DL Acken and Aurelia Louvet. Winners were announced June 7, 2019.
Off the Hook explores the world of fresh British Columbia seafood by delivering classic West Coast recipes with a uniquely modern twist. At just 168 pages, the small-format paperback cookbook packs in 60-plus recipes, food photography by author Acken, and twenty bespoke, hand-drawn illustrations by Abraham. The book received silver in the cookbook category. Edibles, designed by Lizzie Vaughn (Chronicle Books) and Season: A Year of Wine Country Food, Farming, Family & Friends, designed by Iain R. Morris and Suzi Hutsell (Cameron + Company) won gold and bronze, respectively.
