Refreshingly Minty Iced Tea Recipe

Refreshingly Minty Iced Tea Recipe

This minty iced tea is a great alcohol-free alternative to a mint julep. On a hot summer day, build up a sweat from smashing the ice for this recipe, and then cool right down with this zippy, refreshing drink.

Mint Lick Mocktail

makes 1 serving

INGREDIENTS

10 fresh mint leaves
2½ oz iced tea (or regular tea . . . you are going to ice it shortly)
¾ oz simple syrup
3 dashes aromatic bitters Garnish with sprig of mint

RECIPE

Smash the ice using any method your marvellous mind can dream up. Fill a julep cup (or a rocks glass) with ice. Smack those mint leaves between your palms, and put them in a cocktail shaker. Add the tea, simple syrup, and bitters. Fill with ice, shake, and strain into the ice-filled julep cup. Use your stirring spoon (or a butter knife) to mix. Garnish with the sprig of mint. Smack that one, too.
