<p class="biography"><b>Fred Stenson</b> is the author of thirteen books, including four novels <i>Lonesome Hero, Last One Home, The Trade</i> and <i>Lightning</i>. He is the recipient of the George Bugnet Novel Award, the City of Edmonton Book Prize and a Giller Prize nomination for <i>The Trade</i>, two AMPIA awards for best documentary script and the Canadian Authors Association Silver Medal for <i>Lonesome Hero</i>. He is the only two?time winner of the $25,000 Grant MacEwan Author?s Prize. He lives in Calgary with his wife, the author and professor Pamela Banting. He has two children.</p>
