<p><b>John Harris</b> earned degrees in English literature at the University of British Columbia and McGill University. He taught English for many years at the College of New Caledonia in Prince George. In addition to travel literature, fiction and literary criticism, Harris has written seven books, including <i>Diary of a Lake</ i>(2002), <i>Tungsten John</i> (2000) and <i>Other Art</i> (1997).
